Gaelic Tuition – Ùlpan
Ùlpan is an engaging and effective method of learning Gaelic, where learners progress towards fluency in the language through carefully structured lessons running up to unit 144.
At Facal we have experienced Ùlpan tutors already delivering weekly courses across the North Highlands in Kinlochbervie and Bettyhill and occasionally further afield. For more information on how Ùlpan works see http://www.ulpan.co.uk
If you're interested in accessing Ùlpan tuition through Facal, or indeed in joining any of our current classes, please get in touch. As well as the Ùlpan method we are happy to deliver Gaelic tuition specific to your own or you organisation's needs.
Facal also offer classes taught through traditional methods; conversation classes, workshops for schools and parent’s classes, working through local committees and organisations such as CLI Gàidhlig and are aiming to deliver services through Feisgoil
We at Facal have a personal and professional interest in Scottish and Gàidhealach heritage and always relish the opportunity to get involved in projects based on this. Over the course of 2013, Facal was involved in the creation of a bilingual audio tour at Strathnaver Museum, and in the creation of a Gaelic automated bus tour commentary for the 'Majestic Tour' of Edinburgh operated by Edinburgh Bus Tours.
Those involved in Facal have extensive experience in the following:
- gathering of audio material through one to one and group interviews in local communities
